Onorina Maloney
Town of Chelmsford, Massachusetts 

Onorina Maloney’s rich background has included roles such as buyer, administrator and  business owner.  Her career as a Municipal Clerk began in 2002 when she was hired as a Clerical Assistant in the Clerk’s Office.  A year later, she became the Clerk, and that’s when the love affair of Public Service began. Onorina is a lifelong learner and a positive change agent, and holds several certifications including the Certified Municipal Clerk,  and the Certified Massachusetts Municipal Clerk designations. A native of Italy, Onorina believes in the art of the ‘Bella Figura ‘and strives to incorporate it in her personal and professional life.


Karla Jensen
Regional District of Fraser-Fort George, British Columbia

Karla is the Corporate Officer at the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada.  She developed her interest in local government while working as a Certified Legal Assistant in municipal law and has enjoyed working at the Regional District for the past 19 years.  Her passion is gardening which she finds to be a great creative outlet in contrast to her role as Corporate Officer.


Renee Chaperon
Municipality of St.-Charles, Ontario

Renee’s passion for local government started when she made the leap from the insurance industry to municipal government in early 2010. Her hard work, dedication and love for politics was rewarded with her appointment as Chief Administrative Officer/Clerk in June 2012. She is a strong advocate for furthering ones knowledge and education and considers herself a lifelong student. Currently enrolled in the Diploma in Municipal Administration with the Association of Municipal Clerks and Treasurers of Ontario (AMCTO), aspiring to graduate in 2016.  She is a strong advocate for young professionals within local government and currently sits on AMCTO’s New Professionals Coordinating Committee.


Paula Swisher
City of Brier, Washington

Paula Swisher is a Municipal Clerk at the City of Brier, Washington.  She is also very active with the Washington Municipal Clerks Association and currently serves as a board member with the organization.


Lyle Huntley
